I’ve learned a teaching assistant for foreign teachers is wanted in your school. I’m writing to apply for the job.
First of all, having been exposed to foreign teachers since a young age, I can communicate freely with others in English. What’s more, years of experience of being monitor makes me a brilliant organizer, which will help a lot to keep the class in order. The most important factor is that I love kids, and I’m confident that my patience and care will undoubtedly win their trust.

附:听力材料
Text 1
W: Would you like to study with us in the library?
M: I’d rather study at home.
Text 2
W: Has your sister bought her books yet?
M: She bought a medical book. The Chinese and English textbooks were sold out.
Text 3
M: Where have you put the video? I have to return it to John tomorrow.
W: I’m sorry. I’ve lent it to my sister. I’ll get it back for you now.
Text 4
M: Posters of the furniture show are everywhere. Have you been to the exhibition?
W: I went there yesterday. It was well worth the time and money.
M: I feel like going there but I’ve been very busy recently.
Text 5
M: Nobody told me that Bill was in the hospital.
W: Sorry. I meant to give you a call when I found out, but it slipped my mind.
Text 6
W: What’s the matter, Richard?
M: My back’s out again!
W: Oh, no! You really should see a doctor this time.
M: It’s a waste of time, honey. I won’t see a doctor unless I’m at death’s door.
W: Well, I’ll go if I’m worried. No matter how busy I am.
M: It’s different for women, honey.
W: Don’t you believe it! Men think they can live forever.
M: That’s why women live longer.
W: Because women don’t have silly attitudes about seeing the doctor.
Text 7
M: So tell me, Loni, is Harry ready for his trip?
W: Yeah, he has finished packing this evening.
M: Where is he now?
W: Out with some friends.
M: Well, we have to go to the airport at six tomorrow morning, so … Hey, what’s the matter?
W: Jack, I’m a little nervous about Harry’s trip to Japan … I mean Japan is so far away.
M: Come on, honey, he’s 22 years old. He’s got a great job, and he speaks a little Japanese. I’m sure he’s going to have a great time.
W: But we won’t see him for one year!
M: Don’t worry. The time will probably pass very quickly.
Text 8
W: How important are friends to you, Bill?
M: That’s kind of a strange question for this setting, don’t you think so?
W: Well, the teacher hasn’t come in yet, class hasn’t begun, and I was just wondering about it. So, what do you think about friends?
M: I’ve never regarded them as particularly important. Perhaps that’s because I come from a big family — two brothers and three sisters, and lots of cousins. That’s what’s really important to me. What about you?
W: My situation, you know, is different, so I have different ideas. To me friendship is the most important thing in life. It’s more important than even love. If you love someone, you can always fall out of love again, and that can lead to a lot of hurt feelings and bitterness. But a good friend is a friend for life.
Text 9
M: Susan, I could really need your help this weekend.
W: What is it, John? Another term paper?
M: No, no. This is easy compared to that. My cousin is coming on Thursday. She has an interview at the college and I promised my aunt I’d look after her. We are going to the game on Friday, but Saturday I’m on duty at the library all day and can’t get out of it. Uh, I was wondering if you could show her around during the day and maybe we can all meet for dinner later.
W: Sure. I don’t have any plans. What kind of things does she like to do?
M: Actually I haven’t seen her for three years, so I’m not quite sure about her hobbies.
W: Well, there is a music festival in the auditorium. That’s a possibility. Only I hope it doesn’t snow. They are predicting 6 ~ 8 inches for the weekend. Everything will be closed down.
Text 10
M: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to tell you the worst holiday I experienced.
Last August I went to Sacramento, USA. I’d been looking forward to it for ages, but in the end it turned out to be the worst holiday of my life.
My mother was born there but she hadn’t been back for a visit for twenty years so she decided to come with me. When our plane touched down, I looked out of the window and gasped in shock. It was pouring down with rain! My mum said not to worry as the weather could change very quickly. In all, we spent two weeks in Sacramento. Believe it or not, the sun didn’t come out even once! Instead of going to the beach or sightseeing, we spent most days visiting museums and going shopping. It certainly was not the holiday that I had expected.
