Many people are wondering what future cities will look like. In my opinion, future cities will be clean, green and full of hopes.
The cities of the future will be cleaner and greener. As solar energy will be widely used in the future, future cities will be fully equipped with solar panels(太阳能电池板). There will be solar panels on the top of almost every building and the windows of each building will double.
And, of course what would a future city be without a future car for every driver? These future cars will run on hydrogen (氢), electricity and even air. There may even be a few future flying cars that sail above traffic during rush hour. These cars will be very green, and they will be very safe for people to use.
In the cities of the future, every building will have smart technology. Many buildings using solar energy will produce more electricity than they use. They will be linked into the smart grid(电网), selling power back. The smart grid can send the power to other parts of the city where it is needed most.
In future cities, robots will take over many tasks. Some kinds of robots will take over people’s jobs in factories. Other kinds of robots will help people at home. Since robots will set people free from work and chores, people will have a lot of time to travel. However, people will only travel for pleasure as there will be no need to travel for business in the world.

Riley Mack and the Other Known Troublemakers by Chris Grabenstein
Genre (类型):mystery
Number of pages 320
What’s the basic story line?
Riley Mack and his friends Mongo, Briana, Jake and Jamal try to save Mongo’s dog from a dognapper(偷狗人). During the rescue, they find 57 other barking dogs in tiny cages and realize that Mongo’s dog is not the only one that is stolen. They made a plan to save the dogs with the help of animal lovers Miss Grabowski and her boy friend.
Are the characters believable?
Almost all of the characters in this story are very believable. Riley is not a perfect child, and he disobeys his mom when he tries to save the dogs. Still, he does it for a good cause, and that makes him seem very real. The only character that I find unbelievable is Chief Brown, as it’s hard to imagine that any policeman would ever be as selfish and greedy(贪婪的) as he is.
How would I rate this book?
I would rate this book a 10 on a scale of 1to 10. It has many cliff- hangers(紧张情节), which made me want to keep reading, and it is very fast- paced. I really like the leading character Riley. His ideas are really creative. For example, he covers the rescue truck in dog food ads so the dognapper won’t know where the dogs are. I also enjoy how each of the kids has a special talent. This is by far one of my favorite books, and I would recommend Riley Mack and the Other Known Troublemakers to anyone who enjoys mysteries and adventures.
