A: That’s why you get along well with each other.

B: I really don’t want to leave. But I have to because of my parents.

A: They’ll be missing you.

B: I will miss them too.

A: Hi, Ann. How is your new flat working out?

B: Well, that’s what I’m telling you about. You see, I’ve decided to look for a new place.

A: Why, I thought you liked it. You decorated it very well.

B: Oh, I do, I like the style of it, but the distance is just killing me. Do you think you could help?

A: OK. So, what kind of place are you looking for?

B: Well, I’d like to share a flat with one or two roommates within walking distance to school.

A: How much do you want to spend a month?

B: Uh, under $200, and I’d like a flat with furniture in it.

A: Well, I know there’s a block of flats around the corner that seems to have few left. I’ll drop by there.

B: Thanks a lot.

A: Alice, what time is Mr Black’s flight expected to arrive at Boston Airport?

B: Around 2:00 p.m., sir. Will you go with the company car to meet him?

A: Yes. So I’d better leave here no later than now. How about the hotel for Mr Black and his party?

B: I booked the rooms for them last week and checked again yesterday, to be sure everything is ready.

A: Including the welcome room for tonight’s reception?

B: That’s right. The manager promised me that everything would be exactly as what we had requested.

A: Excellent. I want everything to be the best.

B; I’m sure it will be. That manager has never let us down yet.

A: We want to make a good impression. Not just to be sure that the business deal is a success, but to treat them in return for the wonderful treatment we received from them in Tokyo last year.

A: I guess Danny’s sleeping, isn’t he?

B: Yes, he’d gone to sleep before you called. He and Fred woke up early this morning. After they’d played ball for a couple of hours, they went out in the boat.

A: But the Wieses don’t have a boat. Whose boat is it?

B: A neighbor’s. Fred had borrowed it.

A: That was nice. Did they have fun?

B: Oh, yes. It was very funny, too. They stopped to look at the motor and Danny fell out of the boat. All of his clothes were wet when the boys returned.

A: What did Mrs Wiese say?

B: Nothing. She laughed.

A: Did everyone else laugh?

B: Yes, we all laughed. After Danny changed his clothes, I put them on the clothes line without washing. They’re dry now.

A: That’s good.

It’s eight o’clock and time for Morning News Highlights. One person was killed and two were injured in a traffic accident on the No. 104 Freeway just thirty minutes ago. The dead man is Milton Green, thirty years old, and the driver of one of the cars. The two injured, Frank Miller and Jack Smith, have been sent to the No. 2 Hospital. Both of them are in serious condition.

  Fire swept through a store at the corner of 4th Street this morning causing heavy damage. The fire which broke out at about 2:30 was finally put out at 5:30. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
