书面表达范文
Dear Robert,
To appreciate Tang poems well can further improve your language skills and enhance your understanding of Chinese cultures.Let's share my opinions with you on how to appreciate Tang poems.
To start with, you had better know about some background knowledge about Tang poetry. Tang poetry refers to poetry written during China's Tang Dynasty. During that time, poetry became an important part of social life at all levels of society. Du Fu, Li Bai and Bai Juyi were the best known poets at that time. Tang Dynasty poetry was simple and about common things like love, romance and nature that people appreciate.
As a Chinese saying goes, when one learns 300 poems of the Tang Dynasty by heart, one is sure to be able to write poems. Therefore, read as much as possible about poems and you can have a better understanding of Tang poems.

Text 1
M: What did the announcer say just now?
W: She said, “Will passengers on Flight 771 to Beijing please make their way to the departure gate?”
Text 2
M: Did you hear what Mr. Green said? It was something about the date when our book reports would be due.
W: He said we could hand them in whenever we had them done, but they must be in by November 13th, if not before.
Text 3
W: Does that mean you don’t expect me to come?
M: Why did you say that? Nothing would please me more.
Text 4
M: I need some money now. would you please lend me ₤15?
W: I only have ₤20. Will ₤10 do?
Text 5
M: The bus was supposed to leave at 9:00 and it’s already 15 minutes overdue. If it doesn’t come soon, I’ll be late for my appointment.
W: Yes, I have a meeting at 10:00 o’clock and I can’t afford to miss it.
Text 6
W: So how was the party last night?
M: Fine, but the beginning was kind of strange.
W: Oh? What happened?
M: My neighbor said the party was from 8:00 o’clock, so I went there at exactly 8:00 o’clock. I couldn’t believe it: she was still in the shower, the food wasn’t ready, and there were no guests.
W: So what did you do?
M: Oh, I just sat down and waited for about half an hour. Then people began to arrive and the party got started.
Text 7
M: Hi, Betty, how are you? I haven’t seen you for days! Where have you been? What happened?
W: Well, I’ve been a little ill.
M: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t know. What was wrong?
W: Well, actually I caught a cold.
M: Oh, dear! Are you all right now?
W: Oh yes, thanks. It began on Wednesday and it’s been three days. I haven’t been that ill for a long time. But I’m much better now.
M: Thank God you are better now.
W: And that’s why I’m able to come to today’s picnic. Haven’t seen you all for so long and I miss you so much. And I need some outdoor activities. I’m just feeling a little tired. That’s all.
M: Well, perhaps you haven’t been eating properly. Or perhaps you’ve been working too hard.
W: I think you’re right on both counts. I have to stay up really late at night to study for the coming exam.
M: Well, make sure you eat properly and get as much rest as you can. Take better care of yourself.
Text 8
M: We’d better think about what equipment Tom and you have to get for next week.
W: What about you? Are you sure you’ve got all the equipment you need for skiing?
M: Don’t worry about me? I’ve been skiing for many years, so I’ve already got everything needed.
W: Well, I don’t think it’s worth buying anything for Tom. I mean, he might not like it and he grows so fast that it might be wasted on him. Why don’t we just borrow what Tom needs from Joan’s kids?
M: Good idea! Will Joan be willing to lend it?
W: I believe she would lend it to me if I asked her, but I don’t want to borrow everything from her. I would rather have some of my own skiing equipment.
M: Ah, I nearly forgot. You can use my sister’s.
W: Great! What about you?
M: A new pair of gloves will be enough for me. Mine are nearly worn out.
Text 9
M: Betty, how much did dad give you for allowance?
W: $5! I’ve been real good this week. I helped mom clean the carpet and I fed kitty every day. How about you, Ted? How much did you get?
M: $8 as usual though I asked dad for a couple of extra dollars this week.
W: Why did you ask for more?
M: My friend Jim is having a birthday party this week. I don’t think I have enough to get him a present.
W: But dad said we should save something from our allowance each week. That way we can have extra money when we need it.
M: I know, but last week I needed to buy a model plane and the week before I bought a big chocolate bar, remember? By the way, how much have you saved? Do you think you can lend some, please?
W: All right. How much do you need?
M: $10. I promise I will pay you back at the end of the month.
Text 10
M: Mary, we all know that you’re a vegetarian, and love animals very much, especially dogs. Could you tell me how to raise dogs?
W: OK. If you have a pet dog, there are a lot of things you need to do to care for it. The most important part of dog care is cleanliness—bathing, care of the teeth and nails, keeping insects out of the fur as much as possible. And to keep the dog clean, his environment also has to be kept clean. The bed he sleeps in should be made of soft cloth, and washed regularly. Proper feeding is also important to your dog’s health. A dog should be fed in the same place each time, and on a regular schedule. Food should never be left before a dog for more than thirty minutes, no matter what, but he should always have fresh water available, especially in hot weather. Another important thing that many dog owners forget is exercise, which is necessary to keep the dog strong and healthy. A regular walk at a fixed time is enough to keep a small dog healthy and happy. Large dogs, though, require a run in an open field.
